5 Week Long "FUNdamentals of Drawing" Fine Art Session for Kids
$100 per child (for the entire 5 week session)
SESSION 2: 2/19-3/18
This 5 week long class is for beginners or the curious budding artist. Learn how to see like an artist as we go over some basic techniques and learn key drawing fundamentals. We will cover the very key elements of art and learn how to draw from observation as we expand our knowledge and understanding of how artists see the world. From line to shape and shade be ready to master some drawing techniques. This is a 5 week session where artists build upon previous gained knowledge. Sorry no drop- ins.
Last class will have a show of work completed during the 5 weeks.

Meet the teacher:
Maria Dante graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA and a BIA. She also has an MAT in Visual Arts from Rhode Island College. She taught at the Currier Museum of Art- School of Art Education and during that time she participated in docent led museum tours. Maria led School age summer camps at the Foosaner Art Museum, previously the Melbourne Museum of Art in Florida. A past member of the Art Alliance of Walton County and the Okaloosa Art Alliance, Maria has also had her work exhibited at First Night in Downtown Las Vegas and was a member of the Las Vegas Artists Guild. Most recently her painting Desert Bloom won a Special Recognition Award in the All Women Art Exhibition by Light Space & Time Gallery. This is one of the many special awards and recognitions she has received. Maria currently exhibits her work in multiple places locally and on the web.
